Events
The winter is slowly
getting behind us and we
have some early parades
that will be occurring in the
coming month.  We will be
visiting the city of Baltimore
on two separate occasions
with the first being March
16th.  It will be a return
performance for the St
Patrick’s Day Parade which
begins at 2:00 p.m.  The bus
will be leaving the band hall
at 12:00 noon.  We should
return to Westminster by
4:30 p.m.  Our next parade
will be the Greek
Independence Day Parade
scheduled for Sunday the
30th.  We will also leave the
hall at 12:00 noon for this
2:00 p.m. start.  This parade
will be in Highlandtown and
we should return again by
4:30 p.m.
We recently had our
band trailer lettered by Jim
Peddicord who owns Glass
Tinting & Vinyl Graphics.
We duplicated the lettering
that is on the side of the
truck, and he did a very
good job of it.  I want to
thank Jay Markle for getting
this accomplished and we
owe him a great deal of
thanks, as Westminster
Glass & Mirror Co. in which
Jay & his wife Valerie
operate, donated the cost of
$395.00 to have the trailer
lettered.  We will now have
a valuable vehicle to take
our equipment to Ocean
City and wherever else, that
the truck cannot go.
We recently started
a cleanup night on the first
Monday of each month

Remember:
If the snow
emergency plan is in
effect for any Monday
evening, rehearsals
will be cancelled.
starting at 6:30 p.m.  Each
month there will be a
different section in charge of
the cleaning detail.  This
month it will be the Clarinet
and Flute sections that will
take the lead.  (Of course,
any and all help is
appreciated!! –Sandy).
There is a checklist of
things to do in the meeting
room.  Hopefully, we can
keep the hall looking like
new.  For those of you that
cannot make it right at 6:30,
please get there as soon as
you can.
The uniforms that
you ordered should arrive in
early March, so we will keep
you posted on when.
Hopefully they will arrive in
time for the first parade of
the season.
Chris Crofoot is
updating our Band Roster
with member names,
addresses, phone numbers
and email addresses.  If you
have not yet been in contact
with him, please do so.  We
need to keep an accurate
account of this.
Ocean City is fast
approaching and I will need
your plans for this event.
This year it will be June 16
– 18.  I will be sending you
an email registration form.
Please get it returned to me
by April 1st at the latest.
The cost for this trip will be
$107.00 per night, per
person in the oceanfront
and $86.00 for a poolside
room.  As always, if you
made 50% or more of the
rehearsals and jobs then
the band will pay your way
for Sunday night through
Tuesday night.   You will pay
for your spouse and family.  If
you don’t have email access,
please get to rehearsal for a
form.
The parade in the
middle of April is still on, when
we travel to Easton for their
anniversary celebration.  We
will need a great turnout for
this, so keep this date in mind,
which is Saturday the 19th.  It
will be a long day for us, as
the bus will be leaving at 12
noon and we should return by
no later than 8:30 p.m. or so,
depending on how long we
want to mingle at the after
parade party.  More details
will follow.
I would like to
welcome Allan Warehime into
active membership.  Allan
was with us before in the
trumpet section, and he
decided to return.
That’s it for now. See
you at rehearsal, and don’t
forget that refreshments are
served on the last Monday of
each month.
